ADULTERATION IN FOOD PRODUCTS

 

Every product we purchase from market has adulteration problem. The fear of general public is also natural. Adulteration in materials has affected our daily life. There is an abundance of adulteration activities in the whole world. If someone falls ill by eating these products then the condition is more dangerous because medicines are also fake. 

Approximately 30 to 40% of materials is with in adulteration. By keeping view on the adulteration in food items, we observe how smartly manufacturers of these items are throwing dust in her eyes. 

First example of cold drinks. Due to not fixing the standard amount of the substances to be mixed in cold drinks in our country, the government also does not know which company has made how much unhealthy substance. Actually leedan, DDT, melethiyan and chloropieriphos mixed materials are responsible for generation of cancer, muscle related diseases,  disorder of nervous system and also harmful for our immunity system. 

At the time of production of cold drinks, phosphoric acid is mixed which effects the teeth directly. It has capability to melt iron also. Similarly, atheleem glycol chemical mixed in it, prevents the water to freeze on zero degrees also. In general language it is known as sweet poison. Similarly Barak boric, arthoboric, and benzoyl acid mixed with cold drink provide much acidity to the cold drink by which irritation in stomach, in digestion, sensation in brain, irritability and acidity are caused. 

It also hinders the development of bones. 0.4P.P.S lead is poured in the cold drink which is dangerous for nerves, brain, liver and muscles. Kafin mixed in it produces a problem of hypnia and headache. 

Today milk is also not nutritious food, it is also a sample of adulterated materials. Why the use of benefits are less and losses are more. People are drinking detergent, urea, soda, poster colour and refined oil in the name of milk. 

The condition of vegetable oil and ghee available in the market is also dangerous. In mustard oil, seeds of Arjimon and low cost palm oil is mixed with it. In ghee, the mixing of vegetable oil is a normal Trend. In the red chilli powder mixing of bricks sand is easier. Artificial colour on fennel and mixing lead chromate and yellow soil and turmeric and sulphur in coriander and chilli and seeds of papaya in black pepper is easily done.

Injection used to get colours in fruits and vegetables to look like fresh, spray of copper solution for brightness in cauliflower, spray of silver nitrate in the pulse of palm and in her mixing of Khesari pulse is done. Rice is polished with artificial colours, search colours are used in sweets which produce the danger of cancer and can produce disorder in DNA. Adulteration in medicine has crossed all the limits. 

If the government is formally determined to prevent the adulteration, then there is no doubt that adulteration will be controlled. It only requires a solid policy and effective implementation.
